Reduction in company registration fees from 1 July 2006

From 1 July 2006 the $800 fee for registering a company will be reduced to $400. The $330 fee for registering a company will not change.

GKM Fees from 1 July 2006 will be as follows:-

Economy Company - $615

Standard Company - $650

Deluxe Company - $720

Common Seal (optional) - $30

All other fees remain unchanged.  All Trust Deeds remain at $345.00.

A summary of the fees payable under Items 5 and 6 of the Corporations (Fees) Regulations 2001 for incorporating or registering a company or body corporate is shown in the table below.

This action was taken by the government in response to one of the recommendations in the Report of the Taskforce on Reducing the Regulatory Burdens on Business – Rethinking Regulation.

There is no GST payable on these fees or any other fee contained in the Corporations (Fees) Regulations 2001.
